Show
must be one of the most
stunning settings for
any A&P Show.

show is one of the oldest
agricultural
and
pastoral
shows in the
South Island and proud to be holding our 128th annual show |
The show is one of Waimate’s major annual events, is
supported by the whole community and indeed enjoyed by all competitors, spectators and
trade exhibitors.
In recent years both the Trade and Market Lane
have grown significantly and now feature a diverse array of products and
services. These areas were complimented
recently by the
Food & Wine Marquee and its popularity ensures its return in 2009.
A ridden standardbred section was
introduced in 2007 and is back in the schedule this year along
with the introduction of a miniature horse harness challenge.
Hand made jewellery, scrapbooking and decorated cup cakes were new additions in the home
industries and children's
sections in 2008. This year we've included some new classes in
both the adult and children's cooking sections.
A new
class for junior herdsperson has been added to the dairy goat section.
